Do I need your advocacy services to access the market research studies?

No. The market research studies that we work on are open to any individual who fits the criteria for the study. Anyone using our advocacy services does not have to participate in market research. Likewise, not all of our market research participants take advantage of our advocacy services.

How will I know if I qualify for a study?

A patient liaison will reach out to you to review qualifying questions to determine if you meet the criteria of the study. If qualified, the patient liaison will arrange for you to participate in the study.

Will you sell my information or use it to sell me medicine?

No. We keep your information private and secure, and we will never try to sell you anything. You remain anonymous to the market research firm and the sponsoring healthcare company.

Where does my personal information go after you ask me these questions?

There is no personal identifying information communicated outside of Pillar Patient Advocates. Only the responses to the screening questions are communicated to the research firm so they are aware prior to the start of your interview or other method used for that particular study.

What is the purpose of the study? Will I be helping scientists find a cure for my disease?

Each study has a unique purpose. Most of the studies that we work on are designed to help healthcare companies understand more about the needs of patients. Sometimes, the studies may seek input on creative materials for new programs for patients.

Where will the study be taking place?

Most of the studies that we recruit for will take place via online interview. We will tell you the exact details of the study we are screening you for when we call you. Before the COVID epidemic, there were far more in-person interviews. While we see this format is making a comeback, the majority of studies remain online.

What happens after I participate in a study?

The market research firm compiles a report based on all that they learned through the study. It is reported in aggregate, which means summarized so nothing can be tied back to you as an individual.

You are paid! Upon completion of the study, we are given the okay by the market research firm to issue your payment. Currently the rate is a minimum of $100 an hour however, we usually request $125 an hour for your time and input.

We ask if you would like to participate in future studies. We will only reach out to you when we believe you may qualify for a particular study. You will not be bombarded with every study we work on!
